I stumbled on your blog and was bizarrely hit by a sense of deja-vu..i was at a Mangalorean wedding in 2002 at a banquet hall in suburban Illinois that looks much like the one in your pictures! In fact I think Dr. Gerard Aranha and most of the well-entrenched Mangalorean-Catholic stock of the Chicago-land area were there too.
